I Need A Colon Cleanser

Holiday season is over and I can say that I had a high cholesterol and a high fat diet during December and January because of excessive intake of "lechon" or suckling pig. So now I am thinking of cleansing the toxic waste in my body. How will I do it? My friend suggested that colon cleansing works best for this. So what is the benefits of colon cleansing? Colon cleansers are essentially said to wash your body and specifically your colon of toxic buildup. What do you think? Do you think it will work for me?

Dental Insurance

Every time I go home to Philippines I always have my teeth done because as you all know dental cost in UK is very expensive. And because kids are free I did not not get a Dental Insurance. I was just lucky that when I was still there I did not had any problem with my teeth and so as my husband. But you know what? Getting an insurance that covers everything is a wise decision especially in case of emergency.

Since we are here in Australia now and my working visa doesn't cover any dental cost even my children, I am looking for one that is affordable. I think I really need to get one because my kids need their teeth fixing. Supposedly my eldest will have her brace done late this year but because we moved here, of course she will not get it for free unless she will have it fix after I apply our permanent residency. But it will not happen until next year. So now I am searching for the best on the market. Also if we will have an insurance I can have a monthly visit to have my teeth cleaned. Oh I just love the feeling after I visit a dentist.

Be Breast Aware

If you have a breast lump, it doesn't mean you have cancer. 9 out of 10 breast lumps are not caused by cancer and will prove to be benign. Although breast problems can sometimes be painful, they can usually be treated easily and rapidly. So I have 5 simple steps for you to be breast aware because nobody knows your breast as you do, so you're the best person to notice any changes to them.

1. Know what is normal for you.
2. Know what changes to look and feel for.
3. Look and feel every month before your period.
4. Report any changes to your Dr. straightaway.
5. Attend routine breast screening if you're aged 50 or over.

Sit and Stand Up Straight

Slouchers and bloggers, beware! I read this article from a magazine that a study by the University of Leeds here in UK has found that bad posture causes blood pressure to rise. The neck sends signals to the brain, which helps maintain our blood pressure, heart rate and breathing; a stiff neck can cause these signals stop, raising blood pressure, which in turn doubles the threat of heart disease or a stroke. However, scientists believe a regular neck massage can counteract the dangers. It may feel like an indulgence, but it could be a life-saver.

Attn. Coffee Drinkers - Coffee can reduce fertility

To all coffee drinkers read this...lucky me even if coffee will make me infertile, it doesn't matter because I already have 3 kids. How about you are you a coffee drinker and wondering why you don't get pregnant? Read this, it might help.

Drinking too much coffee can reduce the chances of a woman with fertility problems getting pregnant, according to a new study. Four cups of coffee a day can be as detrimental as the problems in pregnancy caused by alcohol, smoking or being overweight.

The study followed 9,000 women who had undergone IVF to see if they got pregnant naturally. Approximately one in seven women did fall pregnant, however drinking at least four cups of coffee a day cut their chances of conceiving by 26%.

Experts presenting the news at a European conference stressed that the findings only applied to women with low fertility levels who wanted to maximise their chances of falling pregnant.

Scientists' questionnaires analysed how lifestyle factors affected a woman's chances of getting pregnant. They found that drinking alcohol at least three times a week was as risky as drinking too much caffeine. However, smoking more than one cigarette a day and being overweight cut the chances of having a baby even more.

Fertility expert Professor Bill Ledger commented that caffeine could have a mild effect on ovaries and sperm, which could pose a problem for those with poor fertility. However, he added: 'A lot of women can have 20 cups of coffee a day and get pregnant while falling off a log, but if you're already subfertile it could push you over the edge.

'It is only a problem if you are subfertile and you overdose.'

10 Best Energy-Boosting Super Foods

Oats
No wonder Doctor always tell to eat porridge for breakfast, oats are high in calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin E, B vitamins, protein and more. As well as helping us improve our skin, they are brilliant for those suffering from stress and tiredness.

Wheat
Yes, yes, we know you think it makes you bloated, but many 'wheat-intolerant' people are actually reacting to the pesticide residues left over from farming methods rather than the wheat itself. Try wholewheat bread and rolls made from organically grown wheat and your sarnies will suddenly seem a whole lot more tasty.

Almonds
When you're feeling lethargic, pop a few of these in your mouth - they'll see through more than just your early morning meetings.

Apricots
For a natural sugar boost, munch on a handful of apricots. Whether dried or fresh, you'll feel immediate benefits.

Broccoli
Much talked about for its cancer-fighting qualities, broccoli is also a great energy provider (as well as being stuffed with fibre, folate, vitamins A and C, potassium, B2, um… shall I go on?)

Brown rice
It might take a bit longer to cook than the white stuff, but brown rice is so much better for you. Not only will it make you feel full for longer, but it's
also brilliant for those suffering from stress or digestive problems.

Lentils
They're cheap, colourful and a brilliant kitchen staple, unfortunately us Brits don't eat nearly enough. Just for once, forgo your regular pasta and cook a pan of these instead - your energy levels will thank you for it.

Sesame seeds
It's easy to add sesame seeds to your diet: simply choose the bagel or French stick at the supermarket which already comes topped with them. Alternatively, sprinkle them on your morning muesli or tuck into a dessert of halvah; made from pounded sesame seeds and honey, it's said to enhance sexual vigour and vitality!

Spinach
Popeye didn't eat tins of the green stuff for nothing, packed with iron, it's best eaten raw in salads as cooking it can make the iron harder for the body to absorb.

Walnuts
Full of potassium, protein, zinc and iron, walnuts are a great energy resource. Eat them in salads or, if you must, atop a cheeky walnut whip.

So if you need some energy boost try some of this food. I'm sure it will make you active and dynamic the whole day!!!
