I Need My Off

After 52 hours of work this week it is time to rest. My head feels like it is going to explode. It is heavy and here I am blogging about leather furniture repair. I am off for three days and hopefully I can get a 12 hours agency shift in between. I can do more but I need to rest as well and it is Valentine's Day. One dream that I have for my kids is for them to learn to play the piano. I bought a yamaha keyboard and hoping to upgrade it to yamaha p95 when they get more interest of learning on how to read notes and how to play the piano. For few months one of my daughter is very keen to learn but I don't know what happened because she lost interest and she doesn't want to do it now. But i'm still hopeful that one of them will learn and play the piano perfectly.

I have a friend that is overweight. But still she looks gorgeous and beautiful and even in the crowd of sexy ladies she still has this aura and charisma that separate her with the other girls. I think it's her bubbly personality as well that makes her stand out. Right now she is in Canada and I really really miss her. The last time I saw her is during our friend's wedding. Few years back I can sleep anywhere even on a carpet or a couch especially after a night shift but now even we have the expensive foam mattress it takes time before I can go to sleep. Does anybody knows rv travel emergency that I can rent before Christmas? My cousin along with her husband and a friend are coming on the 17th of December and they are planning to stay for four nights. I haven't mentioned my husband here lately. Now I am going to :) My husband has been a good boy since moving in to our new house. No more late nights drinking with his mates apart when they come and visit here and drink for 24-48 hours. It happened three times now since we move in. My two weeks holiday is almost over. I am back to work tomorrow while kids started their second term today. Time flies very quickly when you are enjoying your days off. It's the first day of school easter holiday. My kids and I are off for two weeks. Hubby's not because he just started his new job. Supposed to be we are off to Melbourne today for a road trip (20 hours drive) but since hubby cannot request annual leave because he is on his probationary period we will be stocked in the house. Anyhow, I booked an overnight stay in the Gold Coast next week. We cannot spend more than one because of hubby's job. How I wish he can have more off to spend time with us. By the way, my daughter is having her sleep over tonight. They will go swimming, watch a movie in the cinema and watch movies again in her classmate's apartment. I hope and pray she will be safe. I made sure to tell her when we dropped her off to look at exit signs before she go to sleep just in case...

Last Sunday we went to Maleny which is 100 kms. travel from the where we are now. The place is stunning. It was raining and cloudy when we get there so we did not stay that long. But I'm sure we will be coming back there to explore more and hopefully it will be sunny by that time. Coming back there was an accident happened on the motorway so it took us more than two hours instead of a one hour drive. My son is not very happy because we did not have a chance to pass by a shop to buy an xbox 360 hdmi cable. Here are some pictures of that day.

If you are a registered nurse what nurse's uniform are you wearing? Right now we have a blue blouse and polo shirt with matching navy pants. Back in the UK we had a blue scrub suit which is very comfortable and feels like you are wearing a pair of pajama. In the Philippines nurses still wears white nurses uniforms sometimes with a matching nursing cap. Which really looks professional and very clean but with the type of work that we are doing I think it needs to be change. What do you think?

I did not wish to become a nurse. I was pushed to do it so that I can go abroad and have a better life. It happened and if I will turn the time back I will still take up nursing because I learned to love the job as a nurse. It is hard work but then you will go home with a smile in your face because you help other people who can't do anything for their self. I was lucky that I was given a chance to work abroad. Still, I want to go back home but jobs in health care industry in the Philippines is not that good. A lot of nurses are unemployed and if you are, the salary is very low. Maybe when I retire I can go back home and enjoy the rest of my life with my relatives.

Plan For The Future

Talking about miracle I hope that my cousin Vince Dale will survive. He is in a coma for more than a month now. He was admitted in Cebu for a month but he did not improve. Now he is in PGH Manila and confined in ICU. He is very young and there's a lot of potential for this cousin of mine. He is only 21 years old and just starting his life. He graduated in Bachelor of Science in nursing year 2009 and proceeded to Medicine but then during medical exam he was advised for a rest because of his poor eyesight. He travelled all the way to Luzon the whole December. He came back to Cebu, found a work immediately but then collapsed at home before his third duty at work. Please help me pray for my dear cousin!

New Zealand is not too far from Australia. Me and my work colleague last night were discussing about it. What if it happens to us? What if we are in the wrong place at the wrong time? What should we do? We can't really answer because we are not the one who is affected. I am a Filipino and it is so sad to know that there are nine Filipino nurses who are still missing. They are inside the building for English test review so that they can practice as a nurse in New Zealand. As what the report said; they just arrived in NZ. Australia's Calamities

We did not enjoy our holiday last December and first two weeks of January because it rained all the time. Then the flooding comes and cyclone in the far north of Queensland happened. Calamities are everywhere that time and even now Australia is suffering with bushfire where hundreds of homes are burned. I don't know when all of this will end. What we can do is just pray and be strong of what will happen in the future. People here in Queensland are still picking up pieces and repairing what they can with the damage that it brought. And to some who are staying in motor homes they are doing their best for motorhome repairs so that they have somewhere to stay :(

An IT Degree For Hubby?

My husband is thinking what he will do to find a stable job. He is thinking of maybe getting an it degree. But he is not sure if he still the drive to go back to school. He graduated with an accountancy degree year 1995 and he did not get a job that is related to his degree. Instead he works as a salesman because he earns more if he works in the office that time. He did not had an experience with accounting and nor he took the exam to be a certified accountant. Now he is having regrets. Do you think it degree is right for him?

I am looking for any investment to increase my kids savings. As what I heard gold never depreciate in price so I should buy gold. I'm still thinking about it. I am slowly saving up for my 3 kids because my eldest is 12 years old now and in 5 years time she will be in university. We all know that school tuition now is not a joke so that is why I am working hard now to save more for them.

Zumba Zumba!!!

After doing Zumba for few weeks now. I'm enjoying it more and more. First picture was taken after my first 45 minutes Zumba session. I was damned tired. Now I can finished it with a smile on my face (just look at the second picture and that's after my three night shifts :) I like it now and I feel good after I do a zumba workout. Bring it on!!!

Bath Vanity For Me

I am so tired after a night shift especially that my body is already sore because of the exercise that I am doing now. I did a 2 days Zumba and I wanted to do another one today after all my online assignments are done. Then maybe after I can treat myself for a bath vanity with scented candles all around me. In my dreams!!! Because the townhouse that we are renting now don't have a bath. Never mind. I will just treat myself for a new sexy me - courtesy by Zumba :)

To Move Again?

I am already happy and contented here in Australia. There's a lot of things to do as a family, lovely weather (apart from the recent flooding), and the salary is way better than in the UK. The problem is it is difficult to get relatives here. I want my cousins to go abroad too and the easiest thing to do is to sponsor them. But I can't do it here. So after hearing from a friend that you can get relatives in Canada. I'm thinking of moving over there. I am not 100% sure about this yet because I don't want to start all over again. I need to think about this a million times and ask guidance from the Lord what's right for me and my family.

We went on two nights three days holiday at the sea side and on our second day we were blessed with a nice weather. It was hot and humid in the morning and in the afternoon was a bit cloudy with some rain. Perfect to have a dip at the sea. Love it!

Queensland was badly flooded last week. We were not affected but a lot of people surrounding us were. Some of my friend who was planning to come here changed their mind already. You know what? There is no escape anywhere in the world now. Calamities are everywhere. Even we like it or not it happens anywhere you are. If it is your time it's your time. There is no escape. So that is why we need to prepare everything to give us peace of mind that our family that we will leave will not go on a lot of difficulties. We need to get a life insurance and arrange our own funeral arrangements. It's not for our own good but for them.

I've been looking for ages where I can find a diet pills that work. I am not that big but when I try the clothes that I brought from UK two years ago most of it doesn’t fit anymore. Sometimes I still wear some of my old clothes but it already looks awful on me. I hope that this year I can change my lifestyle. Healthy food, exercise and a help from a diet pills equals to a new me. I wish!

Bad Morning Today

I had a bad morning today. Husband wants to apply a job and he wants me to print his application and review it after my night shift. No sleep and a headache equals a bad mood me. I did it anyway after a long and expensive process. We have two printers and neither of them works because there is no ink. So I bought an ink early morning today and I choose the canon printer because it has a scanner. After trying it several times at home it won't work. There is something wrong with the printer. So went back again and bought another set of printer for the hp printer. This time works but that's after I spent almost two hours figuring out and after costing me $115. It sucks big time!!!

My January Girls

My eldest daughter turned 12 last Monday and my second daughter will be 10 years old this coming Monday. This time we did not have a party. My kids want to have a day out with the whole family. So last Monday we went to Gold Coast and had an Infinity adventure then we had a lunch at Hard Rock Cafe and ended up the treating the birthday girl shopping at Harbour Town. One more thing she want an iPod for her birthday too which she will get this week. And for my second's daughter birthday we are going to go for a two nights break in Tweed Heads since our Melbourne trip was cancelled. I am not sure if she still wants kids games for her birthday. So tomorrow I will bring her to the mall and make her decide what she wants.

I want to continue my education so that I can transfer to a public hospital. They need an ICU course for new employees. So fine. Since the kids are alreay big I can fit it with my schedule now. Another Job For Me?

I don't feel physically and emotionally. What I need is a long break. A long break from everything. I am emotionally drained and what's inside my heart now is hatred. I hope that a body massage which I am planning to have tomorrow will help. Anyways, after knowing that it cost $40 for half an hour I am having a second thought. It's so expensive. My hourly rate is less than that. Do you think what I'm thinking? What if I enrol myself in a massage therapy program online? This will be a good part time job.

Not A Happy New Year After All

How's your new year? Me, I did not welcome the New Year happy at all. As usual me and hubby had a fight and I feel sorry for the kids because they are affected. I did not cook yesterday and instead me and kids went to the city had some food, bought a Luxury sheets and watched a movie. I know it wasn't the right time to watch a movie which is New Year's Eve but what can you do if you don't feel like celebrating it with your husband? Do you have an htc desire? I am not very familiar with this phone because I haven't tried it but according to Tech Radar's review htc is on the top 15 of best mobile phones in the world. As what I read HTC is an iPhone killer because it is more cheaper and has a multi-touch screen, which is bigger, brighter and crisper than the iPhone's 3.5-inch display. The larger screen doesn't add much bulk to the phone, which at 135 grams weighs the same as an iPhone. Wow! With regards to the camera it includes 5-megapixel with flash and video recording capabilities offers great image quality as what they said better than iPhone 3mp without flash. I am an iPhone fanatic but after reviewing about htc it makes me interested with this phone.

I can't believe its the 12th of December already. In less than two weeks it will be Christmas and sad to say that I am not ready yet for this occasion. Christmas shopping is not yet done and even the Christmas decorations are unfinished. I am still looking for futon covers with Christmas theme. How about you? Are you finished? Am I that big? Because husband said that if he will get me a gift it will be a plus size lingerie. Whaaaaaaaa! OK, I gained weight again but I think I am not that fat. I Need A Holiday

Our last holiday was in first week of October this year. I know it's not been long but I am dying to have another one again. I booked an apartment for 3 days in January somewhere near the beach and I'm sure it's not enough so I am still looking where else to go. We would love to drive to Mebourne but it will take us 20 hours to get there so we will see.

I feel so stressed in the last couple of weeks. I blame it to my weight gain. I keep stressing myself too much on losing my weight and because I cannot stop eating and I can't continue my exercise I feel stressed and depressed. One thing is I am missing my friends in the UK :'( I am missing our almost weekly gatherings, our day outs, night outs and even our telephone conversation which happens daily. Now I am about to cry. I'm sure not long from now I will be using wrinkle cream for wrinkles that have caused by stress and depression.

I've been planning for weeks now to go to the skin clinic to have my blackheads on nose removed. The last time I had it done was almost two years ago when we went home to the Philippines. I celebrated Christmas abroad for nine years now. This year is the 10th year that I am away with my family in the Philippines. I was planning to have Christmas at home this year but financially I am not prepared. Plane ticket costs too much this time of the year. How I love looking at baby clothes and kids clothing online. Not that I want another baby because I already have three. I just enjoy looking at them and if the price is right I always end up buying for my cousin's girls. Recently I can resist myself again after I found cute baby dresses online. I have three colleagues who joined the pole dancing club and they are recruting more from work. They are telling me to join them. They said that it is the best way to be sexy again because they can see the result already after few sessions and at the same time they are having a great time. By doing this they are not only gaining arms and legs muscles but they are also developing abs. I'm sure they are because pole dancing is one of the best ab workouts. Just imagine what they do during pole dancing routines. The question is... will I join? Nah! I am sure I can't do it because I am very heavy.

How time flies. Just look at my eldest daughter in the picture. She's almost as tall as me and she is only 11 years old. In due time I will be the only one left short in our family :( Maybe growtropin will help me? What do you think? I am not that short, my height is 5'31/2". Compared to other Filipino girls I am already a bit taller with my height. Anyway, I'm sure my kids will be taller than me because my parents are tall and so as my hubby.

I am tired and I want to go to sleep now especially after a night shift but I still need to do opps that will expire in few hours. One opp doesn't cost a lot but when you add it up in a month I can get a good amount of money. Maybe around $100 the least and sometimes if the business is good I get $250 a month and imagine that I only write in one company. What if I am more productive? I'm sure I can get more moolah. But I am already happy with this unexpected money that I get monthly. Good isn't it? This gets me going... :)

NBI and Outdoor Lighting

We are still waiting for our residency here in Oz. It's been delayed because I need an NBI certificate which is a pain to get because me and my hubby have "clones" - same name and surname that have criminal case in Philippines. In able to get an NBI we need to have a certificate a denial signed by consulate here in Australia. It's been done and hopefully we can get the result soon. Now my dream of getting a house complete with fab outdoor lighting is being hold off because of the NBI whose management are complete idiot. Why they don't look at the birth certificate and compare the date of birth? I'm sure it will not match. They suck big time!
